ABOUT
Ilanie is a wife, a mother of two daughters, public speaker, entrepreneur and a recently published author. Ilanie’s diverse background laid the foundation for her passion for counselling and her approach to therapy from a Christian point of view.
She graduated from the University of Pretoria with 4 degrees in Psychology, 2 honours degrees and a Masters degree. Ilanie attended the YWAM Bible Course full time for a year and her interest in Christian/Pastoral Counselling grew from there.
Ilanie did counselling at a Mega Church in Pretoria for 10 years and she has since been practising privately for the past 7 years.
The @pinkme incitive is Ilanie’s brain child. It is a life changing 3 hour course for woman who do not feel good or pretty enough, which is something apart from depression and anxiety that presents itself during daily sessions.
MISSION
My mission is to engage with clients during counselling with a vigorous Christian influence, ensuring
that the fundamental nature of counselling still remains intact. I rely on the guidance of the Holy
Spirit every hour, in each session and with every individual who sits on my couch.
I am one of the few Psychologists in the country with this profound emphasis on integrating the
therapeutic process with the Word of God, the reliability of Jesus Christ, and the gentle promptings of
the Holy Spirit…still keeping Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in mind, I am dedicated to this unique
approach.
VISION
My calling is sure, my challenge is big, my vision is clear, my impact is critical. My values are solid,
my faith is tough. My mission is urgent, my purpose is unmistakable . My direction is forward and
my heart is genuine. My strength is from Jesus Christ and it is supernatural. My reward is promised
and my God is real. I refuse to be dismayed, disengaged, disgruntled, discouraged or distracted by
negativity. Neither will I look back, fall back, go back or sit back. I will not give up, give in, lie
down, turn over, quit or surrender…my God is too big.
Isaiah 61:1. “The Lord has chosen and sent me to tell the oppressed the good news, to heal the
broken hearted and to announce freedom for prisoners and captives.
